✨ About Poloniada: Our Story & Mission

Poloniada is more than just a date on the calendar; it is a vibrant celebration of heritage, health, and community spirit. While many events focus on either sports or leisure, Poloniada was founded on the belief that the best way to bring people together is through active play and shared experiences.

šŸ“œ Our Journey Since 2012

What started in 2012 as a modest sports picnic in Deerfield Park has blossomed into one of the Chicagoland area's most anticipated Polish-American traditions. Our founders envisioned a space where the Polish community could celebrate their roots while embracing a healthy, active lifestyle.

Over the last decade, we have transitioned from a local gathering to a large-scale festival at Busse Woods, consistently expanding our reach and adding new layers of excitement. Each year represents a new chapter of growth, fueled by the energy of our participants and the dedication of our volunteers.

šŸŽÆ The "Active Family" Philosophy

At the heart of Poloniada is the "Active Family" philosophy. We believe that when kids see their parents running a 5K or competing in strength trials, it inspires a lifelong love for movement.

šŸ¤ A Community Effort

Poloniada thrives on collaboration. Our long-standing partnership with organizations like the Wisłoka Soccer Club ensures that we provide professional-grade sports instruction and entertainment. From the chip-timed precision of our 5K to the curated selection of traditional picnic foods, every detail is designed to make you feel at home.
